Supervision/Mentorship

Becoming a successful Academician, PhD Supervisor and Mentor need specific form of technical skills and domain-specific knowledge beyond researcher/expert. Aim of the PhD supervisor to ensure that their PhD students become skilled researchers. It is a one-on-one relationship of close collaboration that lasts several years and establishes the student's career prospects but may be as critical as setting the foundation for the student's future career as an independent researcher. A key factor in a successful supervisor and mentor as well is the skilled supervision process. Some of those skills include developing proposal to understand and develop research design, analytical framework to drafting and writing the thesis other than scientific publications, public speaking and project management.
